モディ首相のツイート
モディ首相はよく世間を驚かせる。高額紙幣廃止の時のそうだった。勇気ある断固とした決断を予想外のタイミングとやり方でこれまでも実行してきた。今回は憲法第３７０条項と３５A条項の廃止だ。
そして、自身のメッセージをメディアを通さず、直接伝えることも彼のやり方だ。彼と直接対話したこともないメディアから批判を受け続けている彼は、TVや新聞のインタビューにも、一部のメディアを除いて滅多に応じない。プレスコンファレンスの時ですら、メディアからの質問を滅多に受け付けない。その意図は明らかだ。自分の発言をメディアに勝手に解釈されたくないからだ。ハッキリ言って、国内外のメディアの大半はモディに批判的かまたは敵対的だ。残念ながら、日本のメディアもご多分に漏れずだ。しかし、今の世の中、人々にメッセージを伝える時にメディアは必要ない。モディは人々に語りかける時にはSNSを利用する（日本の政治家にももっと英語でも発信して欲しいものだ）。彼のTwitterのフォロワー数は４,９１２.６万人だ（ちなみに安倍首相は１４８.４万人）。
今回の憲法第３７０条項と３５A条項の廃止に関しても、彼はTwitterで、３言語で説明している。ヒンディー語、ウルドゥー語と英語だ。ここで、インド太平洋戦略の主要パートナーである日本の言語を入れてくれれば、日本のファンも倍増したであろうに（在日インド大使館さん、出番ですよ）。夫は中国語やスペイン語も入れるべきだったというのだが、いやいや日本を意識的に戦略的に特別扱いしてくださいよ。
ツイートの中で、モディ首相はジャンムー・カシミール地方の人々と共に繁栄すると明言している。実際、今回の措置でジャンムー（ヒンズー系）とラダック（チベット仏教系）の人々はホッとしているに違いない。彼らにとってみれば、今回の措置はむしろ解放だ。それなのに、西側のメディアも日本のメディアもそれについては報道しない。モディ首相は逃げも隠れもしない。結果を予想以上に早く届けるモディ首相を信じて欲しい。国内外の大手メディアだけを通してみれば、真の姿は見えてこない。
